Title: Need some help here.
Post by: bugchucker27 on May 16, 2007, 04:10:33 PM
Just looking for some good float tube lake options that are'nt far from the toll booth or merritt. Nobody seems to have any great input on these areas and i've given many of them a shot already this season ,with good to fair results. Any feedback would help me out as to where i should end up for a week. Thanx

BC Outdoors magazine did an issue about 2 years ago (I will check when I get home tonight) that featured 22 lakes in that region. It would be a great start for you. Most of the lakes in that region are small enough for a tube but this issue might help you narrow one or two down. You will be able to order the backissue from BC Outdoors if you are interested.

Welcome to the board!

Murray lake is not far from toll booth.I haven't been there for a couple years but it used to be pretty good. The fish weren't huge  but they were plentiful. If you go green used to be a good colour.

The issue I was referring to was September/October 2004. I re-read it and I think you will find it a great resource for that area.
