Silver lake near Hope
                                  What the fishing like at silver lake? Reading about the lake there are, Chum Salmon, Coho Salmon, Dolly Varden, Kokanee, Pink Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Steelhead. What the best time of year to fish the lake? I was talking to a friend that caught a steel head on the lake in April; he was saying it was catch and release.

Last thing I heard the road to silver lake was washed out from all those storms...

Apparently its a good trout lake!

Those steelhead are summer runs that are trapped in the lake due to low water, and are ripening in preperation for the spring spawn in the upper reaches... They'd be best left alone.

I drove past the washouts about a month ago. Nothing huge. But you would want a truck or something with a bit of clearance.
