May 5th
Took the 5 minute walk to Lafarge like always to fish from shore. Fishing was a little slow, then it really picked up. As soon as my bait would hit the bottom, and I'd go to put the rod down, I'd already have bites. It was like that for an hour. Landed many kept a few. Also met a forum member "doug" as he was walking by with his family. We chatted for at least 30mins about fishing and everything else, and then he left. After that, fishing got slower so I left.

Once again, I made the short walk to the lake and fisher for an hour, 4.15-5.15pm. Got absolutely nothing. Nobody else was hooking anything, but i saw a lot of trout feeding on the surface. So I left to come back at 7pm with my float tube. Immediately I was into fish. Fish after fish after fish. Lost many, landed many. I ended up keeping the last 2 fish of the day, both nice ones and fought well.

Oh, I'd also like to thank Garry from Riverside Fly and Tackle for puting together the River Daze. The Clean-up and fly casting competitions were excellent. ;)

Nice meeting you Cody. You sure gave that guy fishing next to you a bit of a lesson on how to catch fish!
I wasn't able to get out today but hopefully will next week.
