My friends and I were fishing from shore along with quite a few other people and we were skunked. We fished for about an hour or more. I asked some other people if they had got any and they didnt get any either except from one guy who had got one after fishing for 3 hours. There were 4 people in belly boats that day on the lake. Anyways, we left that day empty handed.

better luck next time!, you shouldn't leave lafarge skunked. Its stocked and ready...
what were you using?
-
just worms..lol
-
maybe it was just a slow day...no one else got any besides one guy( and he only got one)
-
thanks for the report mike! Glad you got out fishing...too bad about getting skunked :-\
-
Michael, try again this week because you went there the day before they stocked the lake again. The fishing should be better now. Good luck.
-
thanks for the info...how often do they stock the lake?
-
Usually once or twice between late March and early June. For lakes that are more heavily fished, they maybe stocked three times during this period. Spring stockings usually end around early June, and fall stockings will start again in October. The latest stocking info can always be found on this page:

Since you are doing so well at Lafarge , are you fishing off the beach area or are you over the other side ? I have gone several times and skunked every time , I have tried worms ,shirmp ,power bait of several different colors and yet no takers .

and u were just fishing from shore?!?! nice! how do u do it?!?!? lol
-
I fish on the beach side. It's all about where you fish on that lake. It has many different depths which is key when fishing it. It all depends on the weather, area of the lake, and the time of season.
I could possibly share some more secretive info if a pm sent ;D
