Post by: Lumps on April 13, 2007, 07:00:12 PM
These things look great, tons of function but a little pricey!

I have the dan baileys , they're awsome and only 630$. same zipper bunch of pockets up top and seams in the legs moved to the outside of the calf area.

and the zipper comes in handy. ;)

looking forward to buying a pair when my G3's wear out.  I have 3 years in them, that leaves about 30 years left.

Now, they are leaking in the testicle area, but! they are too baggy! My legs are too short for them, and my upper body is just perfect...stupid genetics!...I guess it would help if I had the suspenders tight...but than 1 ripped off...I'm doomed  ;D My size is XL ....but I cannot pin point the exact location of the hole...I've narrowed it down to a 6 inch area along the seam of the crotch...so I will have to see what happens..when I send them in here soon....I do like them though..they are reely comfy!

I saw the G4's at reaction and love them.  If I can swing it, they are my next pair of waders, I also like the Simms g-3 boots. But man $1000 for that pair.  Might be just a pipe dream for me. ::) ;D

Simms doesn't custom fit, but they have a billion different sizes, so they don't really have to.  That probably leads to some of the high cost.  However, just to avoid the cold wet leak on my nads is worth some extra coin.

They do have a ton of sizes, I like the long or short option you can get on them.

If your breathable waders are white on the inside, turn the waders inside out and rub rubbing alcohol on it and any pin sized holes will show up black.

Its funny the price of waders, 700 plus tax for the new simms waders. Sure there nice what a  Rediculous Price.  I could buy a pair of simms Freestone waders wich i have had for the past 2 years and they have been great, and you could still buy yourself a nice rod and reel setup.

That is the same thing as " why buy a porsce for $120,000 when you can buy a corvette for $60,000 ???" cause the porsche is a porsche  ;)

check out the stiffness of the zipper before purchasing these waders. Lots of comments that they are too stiff and are somewhat uncomfortable compared to waders with no zippers. I know guys that have them and have gone back to wearing their original waders because they found the zipper just too cumbersome and uncomfortable. Hodgmen was the first to come with them followed by Dan Bailey and now Simms.
