DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON THIS ?
-
Captain Bonk did you get invited to e-license discussion meeting on April the 3rd?
-
YES
-
Bonk you of all people should know of the hassle fishing licienses are. Wasted time for no profit, with your head down while people steal things. Saltwater licienses are available online and it is a huge convenience for many people. Also with the problem of always keeping tags in stock. People always have a backup.

^ LOL, I HAVE EYES IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD !
-
Also mention the idea of giving buyers the incentive of buying online by giving them the dollar profit shops make.
-
^ I THINK I'LL COME BY AND GET U TO DO UP MY LICENSE :D

Wouldn't those be staring at the ceiling when you are writing the licences? ;)
Good idea if it is an alternative, but should not be the only option, as there has not been a survey done to indicate what percentage of anglers have access to the internet. It maybe convenient to you and I, but it certainly wouldn't be for those who are unfamiliar with navigating the web.

Kinky fishing store?
-
It may be a pain in the butt for the people writing up countless licences but alot of the people who comes into the store also buy fishing tackle.

LICENSES DO BRING IN CUSTOMERS BUT U GET SICK AND TIRED OF WRITING SO MANY OF THEM, ESPECIALLY ALL THROUGH APRIL :(

One thing to remember, they have no control or what type of paper being used or how many you can print from the printer..... Some meat pigs out there will print like 5-6 at one shot, filled out 8/10 springs then chuck that one away and start a new one clear... Or some cheap angler out there will get it scan and change a name and birthday and print another one out for a buddy.... Its happening now with the saltwater e-licence.... they have to have a way to uniform everything...... Again, concept is really good but in reality don't think ppl are they up to date yet....

i agree with your opinion Steelhead king
But there are ways to prevent
for example : serial number
if a DFO member checks on the river
he should bring a machine sort of interac in shops the small one and which filled with anglers' database !
sorry for my poor english :) but thats the solution
i've inmplemented the system for my dad's supermarket and it works really well sort of a take-away safeway card membership :)

Michigan has a "Sportsman's card" You fill out the deets once and get a credit card with your vitals. You get it "refilled" annually or whatever... It has a mag strip with the info on it. Of course this doesn't help with Spring/Steelie counting....
Hmmm

Hi guys,
Just wanted to invite anyone interested (a range of ages of anglers would be ideal) to the "Recreational Angling E-Licensing Concept Preview" on April 3rd. This will be held at the Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery in Abbotsford starting at 6:30 pm and will run for approximately 2 hours. There will be a demo of the new e-license concept web page and you will be able to provide feedback and suggestions for the launch in April 2008. The more anglers we can get out to this event, the better representation we will have in how the system will work. There are many vendors already committed to attending but we still need more anglers. There will be snacks, coffee and tea provided. The hatchery is located at 34345 Vye Rd just NorthWest of the Sumas border crossing. Please call 604-504-4709 and ask for Natalie for more info and to confirm your attendance as soon as possible.
