Title: Steelhead Poll
Post by: bbronswyk2000 on March 15, 2007, 10:44:46 PM
I am done. Going to pack it all up tomorrow night and take out all the lake fishing gear. Already started on the cutthroat fishing so thats already out. I am looking forward to a long lake fishing season as this freshet is going to last a while this year. Also sturgeon fishing is just getting going. So their is lots of oportunities to do allot of different things right now.

Now I gotta go pimp out my frog boat with rod holders, anchors, possibly carpet it as well.

The 16 footer is almost all pimped out just gotta pick up the kicker for it as well as the side panels.

Where I'm at, steelhead are staging to spawn.  I feel it's the right thing to do to leave them alone now.

Well you cant fish our local river in May because it closes May 1st. Also the local river in April is full of kelts. Best to leave them alone. Cant tell you not too but its best to leave them alone to spawn and live another day.

I'm not going to touch this one,,,but the definition of "full" should be looked up in the dictionary is all I am going to say.

Hey BB,

That means you'll have to practice your speycasting on the lake.  BTW, what make of speyrod did you get?   I just got an Echo 9126 FA last week, a Scandi-style.  Can't wait to try it out.

LOL ya on the lake. I got a Tica 9/10. I will probably take it up to the Squamish once the freshet hits. I have to go somewhere nobody well see my pathetic attempt at casting a spey rod LOL
