Post by: island boy on March 15, 2007, 07:34:13 PM
not really a fishing topic but i got a mole in my backyard that has done some work. walking on the lawn is like walking on a waterbed from all the tunnels the little bugger has dug. anyone with any ideas on how to get rid ofthe guy?

Flush him out. Flood the holes with water. Stick the hose in a hole and crank up the water. It will either come out or drown. I know it sounds mean but it works. I did the same thing last year. The little bugger kept tearing up my yard so I had no choice.

Cedar Rim nursery in Langley on Glover road. They can put you in touch with the mole man, he's a killer. Personally I just rake out the piles its natures way, moles airerate your lawn.

If that doesent work, another slightly more crude method, find a blunt object, I prefer a shovel. Stake out one of his holes and just wait. Eventually he will pop up, and its lights out...

Do this but with a bit of Gas...if it doesn't drown, the fumes will get him ;)

Snake cupcakes works quite well.  Put it into a couple of the holes and the moles bounce up outta there right quick..

old fashioned barrel trap works good, one you figure out which run is active. do not use the propane and firecracker method.  :o
