When I use a bead I completely wrap it to cover it up.

Why use beads at all for glow bugs. If you want a little weight just wrap fine lead wire around the shank first. If you want an eye on the glow bug then tie in a different color but only half a strand instead of the usuall full but make sure that it is tied in the front close to the eye.

I like the bead for faster flows. I agree the lead wire works but is not as heavy as a bead.

I have noticed that with some beads. they sure have nice weight to them. Do you cover them in the middle of the bug.

Thats right the middle of the bug. Works great on the Vedder for springs ;)

Thanks Brian. I am going to try that. Just bought a new RS2 by Reddington that should handle the springs.
