Hi Guys and Gals,
I'm on the hunt for a skilled aluminum welder to install a casting platform on my 12 foot aluminum boat... I want it to be done in checker plate aluminum.
I also need some reinforcement to the transom, due to some cracking after a bumpy ride to Jones Lake last year. I also need a level area added to the transom so I can run the boat with an electric and a jet at the same time.
I'm looking to do this very quickly, to be ready for the fry migration that starts up in a month.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey Nicole, a friend of mine owns High Caliber Adventures and they do that kind of work in Chilliwack. They are quite reasonable in price as well. Give Brent a call at 604-798-9533 and let him know Kerry said to call.

for a platform that big in diamond plate, you're looking at a big chunk of cash. It will be nice, I love it on my boat.

If you want it thick enough to be structural, I'd think you'd be looking at least $400 US just for the material. Then you need to cut it and weld it.
