Scotty has replaced their electric plugs this year without notifying any of the dealers, without posting it on their website or catalogue. The plugs are not compatible with the old style connectors. They connect at a horizontal angle instead of a vertical one. This sticks the plug out at least 3" from the gunwhale of your boat. Not a good thing in my opinion. But, I was told by someone at Scotty that a 90 degree connector was on it's way. Anyone have any experience with these new plugs yet? I'm trying to decide weather to buy the new style or stay with the old style (I already have one).
