So after a few months of building a new fishin' store and workin' full time I was invited to go to the ved.Fished mid river in the morning and caught one wild steelie about 8 lbs, released unharmed......on a pink worm!
Drove up river to look around and seen Nicole below the tamahi bridge so decided to go to the lower river to poke around,.Arived in our area and spot a familiar face,Big Steel.Talked to him for a couple and then met Merc,Xgolfman, Thick Rick was too busy fishin'........nice to put some faces to the names.Left them to head down river, next run down I hooked and lost a good one about 16-17 lbs :-\ :'(....pink worm again...........will return, jim

How do I join S.C.&P. ?
Consider yourself a member. As I recall, you were invited to join. ;)

Yeah was a pleasure to meet and talk to you and your buddy...I swear that run is my curse..I think everytime i've left it someone has got a fish on right after... :P Oh well, good to see it caught on that sweet pin...Yup, glad to have you as a member!!!

Nice fish Jim! What a chomer...
Yes I fished from the big rock below tamihi creek in the rapids, all the way up to slesse trailer park, first time up there this year... Unfortunately no fish for me today...
Lost of nice water through there, but there's still alot of shallow stuff... That aspect of it hasn't changed much. But it's much better in that stretch from what it used to be, there are three new runs that are quite nice looking.
Towards 4pm the river started looking quite nasty, 8 inches visibility max...
Glad to see you got into one, I wouldn't say that's just luck, I have a hunch you know what you're doing...
Cheers,
Nicole

Great job Jim and real nice fish!! To bad you lost that one, I had just hammered that run about a half hr before I saw you with a worm, and Jensen/wool combo so it was so nice of you to walk in there and hit it real quick!! ;D Thanks for that. ;D Looked like you were putting to boots to him, thought you were going to manage to get that one in as well. :D ;)

That one was a hog, in the mid teens no prob. But it just came undone.
