Title: Catch of the day Jan 28th
Post by: BIG T on January 28, 2007, 08:31:50 PM
FIshfreak this post is especially for you , since I seldomly post any reports, I promised you that I will post for today's catch.  ONLY for you!!!! ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)     Since I don't usually post reports so I am not as experienced as some regulars.  The first pic is from today,  just a reminder for Fishfreak that there are BIG trouts out there  ::),   there is hope for you after all.  Between leapysteely and myself we hooked
four, landed two and bonked one.  Are you salivating Fishfreak, this is just a taste of it.  Today's catch is 34 1/2 inches LONG.....

nice report, I got nothing today, saw one on, and lost... I was using the flyrod today, and was with two other people, who also got nothing...

Man were there ever alot of people out, it was totally NUTS... Almost discouraging at times with a spey, a single hander and a gear rod as part of our clan...

Glad to hear someone was getting them!

Cheers,
Nicole

Hi JL,they are not trophy rod. Both are custom built..The top one is a custom built rainshadow match with the talisman, and the bottom one is a custom built sage 3113LB match with a kingfisher.

with steelheading (80%) skill (20%) luck.    20% of the fisherman hook 80% of the fish. 20% = local, and die hard guys like u! Way to go, really nice fish!

I have heard that before, but I have a hard time to believe it...
it would mean that if 10% of the fishermen catch a mean of 90 steelheads a year, 90% of the fishermen catch a mean of 1.1 steel, or if the 10% catch 45 steel a year, 90% of the fishermen catch 0.55 steel a year... Do you really think it is true? I do not think so

Anyway, very nice fish

Kellya LOL ;D and Roe Kid to much math for yah? Once again nice fish, and thats why i said 20% instead of 10%  Steelhead fishing is a commitment, hard work, time, and experience!
