Title: MY FIRST EVR STEELHEAD!!!!!

Well my day started at about 9 o'clock this morning. I arrived at my spot on the vedder to find it was empty and the water was looking good. It was a perfect day to be out the sun was out and it was pretty warm. I fished through every nook and cranny there with everything I had with no luck. At about 11 my dad asked if I wanted to go get some lunch. While we were eating my dad offered to take me to another flow on the way home. I hadn't had any luck on the vedder so I took his offer and we were off. We arrived at our new destination at around 12:30 to find someone fishing where we wanted to go. Oh well thats the way it goes. We head up river to another spot we know and walk in and set up the rods. The sun was still out and even if we didn't catch anything it was a great day. I put on a nice looking roe bag and toss it in some very nice looking water. First drift nothing, second drift nadda but the third drift BAM and the fight was on. I am so excited i scream fish on even though it is only me and my dad there. The fish was jumping and rolling putting up a great fight. My dad was taking pics of me reeling it in when the fish was getting close to shore, I yell at him to help me land it and he grabs it and we see it is a hatch so up on the shore it goes. BONK! I jump up and down many times in relief that i got one. It was amazing how good it felt. We snap a few pics and my dad keeps fish while I take another million pics of my fish ;D Here are a few of my first steelhead and a day I will never forget ;D ;D

A True Champion.  ;D Nice fish kid, youll never forget the first. It Takes a good 24 hours before youll calm down.  :)

Nice fish.
Congrats on your first and most exciting.
It is amazing that you say Vedder and how it looks just like a spot on another river i know of.

Mother nature sure is freaky sometimes. ;)

Hookset did say after lunch his dad took him to another flow on the home so it's not vedder.
