Greetings to all...
Well, got a chance to go out today. Got to Lickman area on Yarrow side and started fishing around 7:30 a.m. Visibility was maybe around 12" to 20" on the side of the river.Got nothing at first but I was fishing and walking all along that stretch. Got down to a tail end and on my first cast with a huge pink worm, my float went down. I set the hook but missed!!!!!! So, I decided not to fish for about 5 minutes and on my second cast, the float went down again. This time I was ready. The silver bar jumped up and ran towards the deeper section of the river. As it was closing in, I saw that it was a nice hatchery doe of about 8lbs. It put up a good fight but I was able to bring it in.
On the way back to my car, I saw another guy coming back to his car with a nice hatch too!
