got out at about 10am arrived at the first run to find not a sole there :o so went towards the tail out of the run and rigged up ,first cast few casts nothing but seen quite a few fish rising, swapped roe bag and next cast fish on get it in close to see a boot chum released and carried on for the time i was there manage to hook and land half doz chum mostly boots and a couple of springs that weren't in the greatest condition as the time went by still not a sole to be seen by now was getting hungry so i thought I'd change up a bit before i headed off, threw on a gold hammered blade and a couple of cast later more boots to show for it by now it's get close to 1pm i said to myself last cast and away i go,so still on the blade drifted in the tailout again and float goes for the dive thinking that i have another boot i play it out about 2secs later it jumps out of the water and what do i see some chrome bodied beauty :o couldn't tell if was a ho or not but now I'm paying full attention as to see what it might be another jump out and it waves bye bye to me.So of course that last cast turned into another half an hour or so before i gave up as i got no more hits.

I went to the Vedder this morning too, the water color and level were very nice when I fished the middle river (7-11am), much more colored in the lower (11-1). I managed a nice hatchery coho jack (The first fish I kill in a BC river) and that is almost all (also a couple of colored chums). It was very nice to fish under the rain with almost nobody on the river.

I was on( lets say mid vedder) on friday and we were hittin lots of coho mostly red though I landed 2 wild, biggest at about 14 lbs the guy next to me took 2 home and we left around noon so they are there. When I start hittin lots of Chum only 1 thing to do and that's relocate. So far this year about 15 coho have eaten my #4 hooks only 5 hatchery tho .

What have you been using if you don't mind me asking? I have been out so much this year and seen so many coho but have been having one hell of a time trying to get them to take anything at all..
Haven't landed one coho this yr. :(
