Title: october 28!!!!!!

About 1:30 i got around to the river  (late start because i needed to make some more roe bags :D) anyways got to my spot..tons of people there so i decided to go for a bit of a hike and discovery somemore of the river.. got to a nice rapidly area and threw around my roe bags and bang.....fish on! knew it was a coho right away and brought it in...it was a hatchery super chrome ;D bagged that one and kept on going up river until i hit a really good pool.... threw a colorado in and nothing going with that so i switched up and put the roe back on and bang fish on! this time it was a bit bigger coho and a hatchery too woooohoo still chrome :D as well with that i missed a few takes in the rapids...decided to pack it up as it was getting a bit windy out and i had to work soon.... left at 4:15... quick outing and I'm going to go tomorrow.. ;D ;D ;D
my bro will put on the pics when he gets the chance too prolly later tonight.. ;)

Good job on the coho. I havent had much luck with coho this year altjough I got a few today :)

No coho for me today.... but did see a few caught. much better than last weekend !!!!

Which I released. Lotsa chum hooked and suprisingly some very clean springs hooked, but I couldn't land'em

I was out both Saturday and today, landed 9 saturday, and 3 today... Man was it cold today! I had to run for the truck when it started snowing/sleeting... totally windy and miserable. Still better than being stuck in the house... I drove upriver to take a look around and warm up, and passed by the gauntlet of cars lined up along tamihi rapids... Obviously there are some fish stacked up there.

The fishing most definitely slowed today, the coho I saw were very much on the move, and taking no breaks for snacks... I must have seen at least 30 go by, along with springs and chum, some chrome springs in the mix as well...

ps I forgot to mention, gave someone a lesson in shortfloating saturday, it was his first time on the vedder ever... Nice guy, asked all sorts of questions... And I gave him the full lesson about float length, baits, etc when he asked if the spot he was fishing was better with a bouncing betty :) I hope to see him again, to see how his skills progress!
