Title: Stave river October 27th

there are coho in the stave, Inch creek hatchery have been there and seined 20 out of the toilet bowl.and about 100 white springs.so the fish are there.i was using black wool for the springs that i caught i noticed people are getting jack coho at first light using roe and or coarse chum all day.I BLEW UP at some people not picking up after themselves ??? then they did thats one of my pet peeves what you come with you leave with.every time im there i take a bag out with me.  Bear

I flogged the stave for about 8 hours this week.  Roe, blades, jigs and wool.  I caught tons of chum, but no coho.  There are some there but the numbers are still low.  The Stave coho run is typically stronger in November.

Was fun being out though.

Hey Redlad...it was good to meet you out there the other day....have you been up since we met??? River must be coming up somewhat now....

Yes it was good to meet you to Ribwart.

I was out again yesterday, tons of chum and some wer very agressive.  The odd coho being taken but they are far from thick.  You are right - the water was up significantly, but still well below normal.
