Title: Squish Oct 22

Decided it was time for a trip up to the 'Squish for some chrome chum action and maybe a coho, if we were lucky.  Thickrick, Norm2 and myself found ourselves standing in the Mamquam waiting for some light to fish by.  To keep it short, although we all hooked into fish, only Thickrick landed his chum.  Norm and myself couldn't seem to land one to save our lives, even though we hooked into them.

Eventually the bite died off so we decided to move on.

In the new spot however, the tables turned!

I landed a hatchery coho, about 11lbs:

A little color but I decided to keep her.  Nice roe inside too, btw.

Norm hooked a few fish too and landed one chum that wasn't to his liking and was released.  Shortly before we left, I ended up hooking into a hatchery coho jack that I brought to shore and let pop off.  Meanwhile, Thickrick,in our new spot, only hooked up with fish twice the entire time we were there.   We were using wool, spinners, and I used mainly jigs. Gotta love the shine on that one chum of TR's,  eh!  ;D

Not too sure.  Maybe back to the 'Squish.  I want to get a few clean chum for smoking, if I can land one of them!

I was up a few times this week. Friday evening was fish central..thousands of chrome fish moving through...but they were lip locked. Stayed around past dark and watched interesting evening behaviour..the fish go nuts! Backon Sunday morning - not a lot of fish moving throughthe lower river,  moved up to my secret spot and filled the bag.... also caught and released another 4 bull trout....that seems to be my lucky number with those critters - I must be getting god ad trimming my peach wool.

Very nice chum. Super chrome. Nice coho as well
