Gibbs Kitimat Spoon: $4.50
Blue Fox Spinner: $5.00
Crocodile Spoon: $4.00
Mepps Algai: $5.00
Slogging a pool with over $20.00 in name brand lures only to catching my first coho of the season on the first cast with a home made spinner made of a .15c french blade and 4 green beads...priceless!

Any , pics, well done on the first hoe , to bad about the lures, but its worth it to get the monkey off your back

Hey gooey, congrat on your first coho of the season, nice to see you back on the fishing report.

Where the heck did you go without telling me???

Stinky, I didnt loose all those lures, I just fished them first as I have (for obvious reasons ::) ) much more faith in a $5 lure than a home made inline spinner that cost me pennies to make. A week ago we had a thread going on fishing hardware and I explained that my "little" tackle box had a tone of different lures in different colours...this trip reminded me of that thread and I just found it too ironic that we spend so much on gear and its the cheap stuff that often works ;)
Big T, with the way the water has been this year, I havent felt like going out much - actually at all!!! With 2 young kids and the energy it takes to catch up from an early morning fishing trip I figured the conditions havent warranted a trip. I have also kept busy building up 4 new rods.
Ya Chris, it was a drop of the hat type trip and we had dinner guest last night so I didnt get to call ya witht hte report...we'll talk today I'm sure.
