Got to the upper river at first light and met up with FishFreak and his father in law... we got into chums and springs pretty quick on roe and wool combos , after Freak and Father left I got into a few more chums and one coho that got off about ten minutes before I left I got into a nice 12 pound hatchery coho which I bonked !!!! got back to my truck to find it had been broken into and my stereo and cd's stolen >:( >:( >:( crappy way to end a great day
-
is it that danger in vedder area ?
-
Good job on the coho, sucks on the other part! i thought that only went on in the parking lots, im lucky i can see my car the entire time on my new run and if anyone was gona break in they would see me too.
-
Sounds like you made a deal with the devil ;D
-
Too bad about your car. I hate it when I find that my stuff has been messed with, and I pity the fool I catch breaking into my truck. How bad has it been this year?
-
Darn thats terrible. It looks like they have started again, it is the first incident I have heard of on the Chilliwack Vedder this Coho season. I am out and around the river a lot and always keep my eyes open and have never seen anyone that looks suspicious, one day hopefully I will see one of them in action. They will then have to deal with the Leaf Mobile.
-
That is crappy. Sure puts a downer on a good day of fishing.
-
thats why i keep my window open and doors unlocked. Ive noticed my glove compartment gets opened once and a while , but thats it.
-
thanks for the report rick, Sorry to hear about your car, Those little buggers are lucky you never caught them in the act or there would have been some fistacuffs
-
sorry to hear about your truck as those little thieving bastards are back to help them selfs to our things while we try and enjoy a day of fishing and great to hear that you landed another ho :)
-
Thanks for the report rick, hate to hear whats going on with your truck.
-
Good job on the Coho, bummer to hear about your rig man. Did it have an alarm??
-
Thats too bad about your truck Rick. It's a pitty you didn't catch him. Could you imagine the look on that slimeballs face if he saw you running at him.

you got that right
-
Yeah it has an alarm... I guess nobody pays attention when an alarm goes off any more
Thx for the sympathy :)
all good I had a spare stereo at home and it is already installed :)
-
good to hear, now lets see some coho pics!
-
Too bad Big Steel and I weren't with you and we caught the buggers all together. Imagine their faces if they saw all three of us just standing over them as they were tearing out the stereo. Punks like that need their knee caps adjusted permanently....
-
Sounds like it's time for a little vigilante bait car action. Someone should drive up and down the river a couple times pumping some tunes. Then, leave the car and hide in the bushes with some friends. If the police were serious about stopping that annual thievery, a couple cars like that would do the trick.

Fished the river today too. Went up top. Some guy comes down and askes if it was me or my fishing partners red truck. My heart jumps a little. "WTF happened now?" i think. Then the guy says "well then i think you dropped this" and hands over a prized Balsa wood float that had fallen out of my vest (that i didn't even notice). I thank the guy, and my heart settles back to the normal beat.
BTW no fish other than chum.

Id like to see my father in law get ahold of those guys he is a very big man with a very mean temper when he gets mad look out, its fun hanging out with him you never know what is going to happen with him around, except for this weekend he was a little settle not usually like him, but he did tell some guy to F-OFF on the river today, as this guy would do one cast then move do another cast move again , did this for like an hour budging in front of everyone, pissing them off, then he tried that with my father in law and he told that guy where to go and how to get there before he got a cast in just ask rick how many idiots were there, i think the 3 of us there were the only ethical anglers there
Maybe he was trying rotational angling? ???

how did they get into your truck without breaking a window?
-
They popped the Drivers side door handle out , I have seen it before I guess it is a weak spot that the theifs know about >:( >:(
It makes me angry but unless you can catch them there isn't much that can be done... I guess I am lucky they didn't break the window or cut any wires!!
-
If you guys catch them, bonk them and leave their tools beside them to be reported on the news. They will quickly learn that it is not cool to be messing with fishermen.
-
Thanks for the heads up on the thieving gits....
Bad luck on the wheels. Hope they get theirs some day.

Man, I'd be happy to not lose the window, the doors and locks are easy to do, When I lived in S.D. I used to leave mine unlocked and a note telling them to go find rich people to rob...I've gotten my windows busted in and THAT SUCKS..especially when you got a long drive home in the rain...unfortunetly, been there, done that >:(
