Title: help out a newbie newcomer - Ambleside Park?

Hi there! I'm relatively new to Vancouver and I'd like to try my hand at Salmon fishing (I hear so much about it!) I heard so much about the Ambleside Park fishing spot, but I went on a reconnaissance mission last week-end and couldn't find it. All I saw was people fishing off the piers. I doubt that's what you guys are talking about! Could someone please give me some more exact directions?

It's approx. 1/2 km west of Park Royal. Stay on Marine Drive til you reach a set of traffic lights with the West Vancouver Police station on your left and a service station on your right. Turn LEFT and over the railway tracks. Stay on your left and proceed to the end. You're there.
