Title: searun cutthroat
Post by: jetboatjim on September 02, 2006, 09:11:11 AM
Today I hit a local beach that I have fished for many years,in search of the searun cutt.Loaded up with my 896 sage (just incase of coho) , a floating line, and some red rolled muddlers size 12.upon arrival I noticed some coho rolling, two casts I lose a good size blueback(I donated the fly to him).
Several cast's later I hook a good 12" cutt followed by several smaller ones. This was good fun as the cutts would grab the fly as it hit the water.

I will return to the secret location tomorrow morning along with my 4wt and some new flies.I will add pics later....jim

Yes, it was in the salt,I went back this morn. and caught several small 8-10" cutts along with 2 decent 12" fish .I had two coho chase the fly and even broke one off.

things should really start picking up the next while.
