Not having the transportation to head out to the fraser yesterday i decided to get droped off at sturgeon slough to hike down the dike to my secrete spot for some bass fishin' . Second cast got into a 5 1/2 lbs bucketmouth that was taking out line and everything, after that i got 12 more around the 1lbs range befour it was time to go .All in all it was a hounddoggin day even bill dance would be jealouse of.Must be because of my lucky riverside fly and tackle hat that i was wearin.
I got pictures i just need some help posting them.

was this fish caught in fraser ?
-
Caught in Sturgeon slough, part of the Pitt River system which does flow into the Fraser.
-
Nice, I haven't caught a slab that size since the last time i was in Ont.
-
damnnnnnn ..... what did you do with the fish? is it safe to eat them from that area of water?
-
i fileted it just like a rockcod and it tasted very good.
-
I cant believe you ate anything out of there. I live in Maple Ridge and fish for bass quite often. My biggest from the Sturgeon Slough is just over 6lbs, 2 years ago. That slough is DISGUSTING I would not eat anything that came out of there. I really hope you dont get sick.
-
Yeah Its grosse how much cupcakes gets poored into that slough, I fish there often but will never eat anything outa there, Nor dip my foot in the water. So many chemicals from the farms and drainige get poured into there.

mmmm tastes good :P hahahahaha

How do you access sturgen slough? May as well take some of those bass so they don't eat up all the salmon smots. Thanks.

Take dewdney trunk road in pitt meadows( locals here call it old dewdney) till you reach neaves road. Head north until just before swan-e-set golf course.
