Title: Need help finding a bar
Post by: Geff_t on July 13, 2006, 09:27:09 PM
I am planning to take my little guy out fishing on the weekend and I want to take him out bar fishing. I was just wondering if anyone can help me locate a bar that is not filled with bouncers. I do not have a boat so it will have to be a walk in bar. Thanks to everyone that can help. ;D

Has anyone actually fished Island 22? Looks like a good place for bar fishing.

Come on people, it isn't that hard.  You go out to the river and wander around until you find a spot with enough room to cast!!  Whether that means you are fishing from a dyke, the side of the road, or if you go for a bit of a hike.  The fish are in the river, and if you can get a line in, you have a chance to catch one.  I would tell you all were to go......   ;D ;D ;D But the only ones I really know about are boat accessible.  I have just been lucky enough to have some fine people take me out with them.  I know some spots from shore, but there are soo many BBcr's out there that it makes it tough.  When the water drops I have a couple more ideas.  Like around the top of Peg Leg, around the corner.  Everyone fishes when you first come into peg leg, if the water is low enough, you can get right over to the top.  That would be a great spot for Barfing I would think.  There are other spots as well, that is just one that came to mind. :)

i find derby reach a very nice place so far. with a broken ankle, it was one of the easiest spots to get to. i hear it can be quite the gong show in the fall though. but the cast is off the leg and in a couple weeks, i can go anywhere ;D
