After a short trip to Berry's Bait and Tackle to pick up even more items for this Saturday's event (there are now 144 dew worms sitting in my fridge thanks to Mike, Len and Michele, as well as another package from rln for the flytying clinic, thanks! :) ), Nina and I decided to spend another evening hour just around the corner of our house. ;)

Shh, this is another secret coarse fishing spot again. Oh wait, the location is in the title... ::) ;D
It was a little bit more breezy today, which made fishing with ultra-light tackle rather difficult. The solution is usually to find a sheltered spot so the float and tiny split shots wouldn't be blown around.
Most of you who watch the news would know that the waters around Richmond now have a no-swimming advisory notice due to water quality concern. This makes fishing at Garry Point Park much more pleasant as we do not have to worry about swimming dogs and people when fishing in the bays.
As usual, within minutes a few species were brought in as they could not resist the deadly dough. ;D The sensitive Drennan Carbo, which only takes 2 grams of split shots to balance, was buried with no hesitation each time. A large peamouth chub came to shore first, followed by a couple of tiny northern pikeminnows, then a few sculpins decided to join the party. No large northern pikeminnows today though, but being able to play fish one after another is enough satisfaction considering how close the fishing location is to our place.

Don't laugh at Rodney because of having toothpick arms and no muscle to throw 16, maybe 18 ounces of lead and catch a Chinook. He's still having fun.. ;D ;D ;D

I think you could do some serious damage to that fish by lifting it out of the water vertically like that. And here I thought you guys had good morals, and ethics. ??? ;D :D
