Fished lafarge for the first time tonight with coho cody and his dad and sister. His little sister was the only one who caught a trout. So yes the "lafarge slayer" cody got out fished by his sister. .....and so did I ;D

I fished it monday from 9:30-11:30, multiple hits (around 15 or so), brought in 7 all around 11-13" with the exception of 1 which was around 6lbs. Saw I other broodie pulled in off of the shore around 3-4 lbs. My fishing buddy did better than me he was into tons of bites with 11 in and no broodies.
All in float tubes with sinking lines and light green leeches. Lots of fun, easy to catch without having a commute.

was there fishing Sunday, fished from 5 till 9pm, had one on for a short while but that was all for me, another flyfisher in a tube caught 4 smaller ones. Out of the nearly 20 people fishing from shore I saw no action. I did get to see the big koi, im guessing it was around 5 or 6 lbs.

Where is Lafarge and can it be fished from shore?
-
It is on Pinetree in Coquitlam.
I took a friend down there a couple of days ago and he caught his first ever carp, 8lb 5oz. Great fight kept peeling line out, crashing on the surface etc. I caught a 7lb'er the very next cast. Both caught on floating bread crust on top of the shallow shelf. The koi was with them all as usual, and I think you'll find that fish weighs more like 12-13lb. I say this because I've caught a few carp from there now up to 9.75lb and the Koi is bigger.
Tight lines

Sorry, Mcwhackit - yes you can fish it from shore, very easily.
