Title: Trout in the lower fraser tributaries july 2
Post by: canmando on July 03, 2006, 01:16:36 PM
Well what a day of trout fishing, landed 3 trout within 10 minutes of starting my day, one cutty about a foot long and  2 dollies of small to medium size, nothing for a few hours after that. I moved upto the mouth of the coquitlam river for a few hours and hooked into 3 cuttys , a small sockye and a couple whitefish also hooked into something that took everything, im thinking it was a small sturgeon or a big spring, it hit like a sturgeon(long and slow hit, but it ran off like a chinook on me  I had to let him break me off if i wanted to have any line left to fish the day out.
what a day of river fishing, where were all the other fisherman????

time to get out the old ugly stick for the springs i guess eh ;D

is it hip to still use mono line for sturgeon???

Cheers yall
