Title: Vedder River condition
Post by: steelieman on June 26, 2006, 12:55:52 PM
Just trying to find out what the water condition is like at the Vedder. With the snow melt, hopefully its not too high for opening day.

I might head out for the long weekend. Thanks in advance!!!

The Vedder is in perfect condition.  :)It has gone up a bit but water color is perfect. Most of the bars are showing. It should be excellent for this week-end. The reds are in there already and so are the sockeye. Please quickly identify and don't overplay the sockey before you release them.
Warning: there are also a lot of bears around the river!

It was very very high but not dirty yesterday driving over the canal. almost to the dykes :o., but it should be slowly going down with all of this hot hot weather. it sucks cause i cant fishing it for while yet cause of my broken ankle :P. oh well :-\

Backlogged water from the Fraser. The Vedder is actually in very good shape in terms of color and levels however, it has risen slightly since the start of this hot weather.

Has anyone actually caught a fish on opening day? Of all the time that  I went, I only managed once and that was last year. I got 7 on opening day.....
