Title: Cap today-June 14th
Post by: glx on June 14, 2006, 05:49:29 PM
Started out around 5:30 this morning.  Hooked and landed 3 coho, killed 1 fish.  2 were typical size but the other was around 5 pounds.  All caught on freezer burnt spring roe.  Only seen 2 others hooked while I was there.

A five pounder ay  good on ya glx.  Personally I never release coho on the cap unless they are inedible because whatever the hatchery doesn't use for brood stock goes to the natives and there is next to no spawning habitat thanks to the dam.

Freezer burnt roe thats funny! Just goes to show those fish can be quite aggresive under the right conditions. I my self have spent alot of time on that system casting perfect roe and no takers. But the conditions where tough. A five pounder thats a good fish for that system! congrats.
