Title: Cap June 10
Post by: Steelhawk on June 11, 2006, 07:20:47 PM
Hit the Cap around noon on Saturday for a few hours.  The water was relatively high & clear, and should be good for migrating fish but encountered none, and saw non other taken. I fished lower river first then up to House Rock and back down to lower river. Met a friend who said he hit some fish Friday. But fish are not anywhere in number like any past good years at this time of the year and at this excellent water level. Back then, one good high tide you are into multiple fish, or if you fished a few hours below Cable Pool, you would witness a few waves of travelling coho. I don't see any such action this year. I wonder if the hatchery had cut down their coho stocking.  ???  Any one has info on that?  By the way, where are all the Cap specialists like CF and friends? Kind of short on Cap reports here. Are people doing much better at first light but keeping quiet?  :) ;D

Fished or should I say hiked the Cap from the hatchery to mid river. Lots of people trying their luck at most spots. Slow, saw some action around dog leg. Nice thunder storm when we got back to the car (tire pressure OK).
