Title: Big brown of little creek
Post by: Jonny 5 on June 05, 2006, 10:51:46 AM
Hi fishers,  just got some pictures from a trip on saturday... Anyways, fished a couple of small creeks here on the wrong side of the rockies.  One known as Stauffer... Stauffer has a bad reputation for making people want to snap their rods over their knees.... And I now know why. Tight casting area, with overhanging trees and lots of uncooperative trout.  No fish from there, but a few from another nearby smaller creek.

I was surprised by this big guy that my buddy hooked (in the water that I just covered  :'( )  Taped it at 20 inches.  Beautiful fish I thought.

Nah, I was using a brown bugger along the banks, and a midge under a stimulator.  My buddy was using a midge under a caddis.  I just cant figure out how I kept missing all the fish that he got!  :o

Anyways, thats fishing some times.
