Well hitched a ride with my freind to go to egmont fishing. They thought lingcod was already open but i had to tell them different. Still had an awsome time catching rockrod and realesing lingcod. We left friday night and just got back. In totall i landed 8 ling cod and 4 rock rock and 4 tiny rock cod. Good to know there will be lots of ling cod for the opening.
Here some pics.

thanks for your report.
looks you had a great day.
im planning to be there.
was it on the govm's dock? or, on a boat?
-
What were you using for bait? Thank you

How deep were you fishing Roe Kid?

This year I did my fishing on the egmont marina dock. Last year i went out in a boat. I was fising in 45-55 feet of water. However i did hook a little 18-20 inch lingcod perch fishing in 5-6 feet of water. That was an awsome fight on my ultra light. For Lingcod bait I used little shinners or little rockcod. If you want throw on a big perch, they go crazy, almost instantly I get a hit.
