Title: Lafarge Lake May 16th.
Post by: Sinaran on May 16, 2006, 05:19:49 PM
started fishing at the southeast end at 12pm, with shrimp and power bait. nothing much was happening, saw lots of huge carps and koi and u know what, tortoise too~ :)  they all were wandering on the surface, nothing could entice them.  Some r in the 6-8lbs range. students from the school across the street were rowing canoes there, and some people were at the west side beach laying down enjoying "sun of the beach".  6 other people were fishing there and the only one that caught a fish was an old lady, catching 2 nice size rainbows!  she was telling me that she was fishing there everyday and catching 2 to 3 of them every single day and she usually released them all or kept a maximum of one fish for herself.. gotta pay my respect to this womderful fisherwoman. Left at 2:30pm, it was just soooo warm out there, the heat was too much for me.  Skunked trip #6 of the season.. great.  ::)

now coho cody is gonna show his expertise and giving advice to me as how to fish that lake...  lol   yeah man, if i've got a float tube, things would be much easier i guess.

sorry,  i was at a camp with my team from school since monday. just fish on the long beach from the dock towards the regulations sign with powerbait. fish of the bottom  with an egg-slip weight, or with a sensative bobber, not a dink float. use a small amount of green powerbait paste or pink and orange egg combo ;). if you fly-fish, you can wade out along the beach and cast a fly. this works pretty well also ;)
