Saint Mary's lake was in the worst shape I have ever seen, even the locals do not know what is going on. The lake looks like the Fraser River on a bad day, there was so much suspended material in the water you could not see 6 inches down. No fish on this trip out of this lake but there are two other lakes down near Beaver Point, no one there and the fishing was great, clear water and the trout averaged 15 to 17 inches. I will be going back. Used a dear hair dry fly, fished in the late afternoon.

Yeah, Weston and Stowell lakes are beautiful places. I've had nice luck fishing a dragonfly nymph deep on a sinking line at Stowell for Cutties. Not so much at Weston, but there are some nice rainbows so I've heard. Pity about St. Mary's.
