Hmmm..I recall watching a program on TV where they got fish to jump like that...how they did it wasn't actually all that cool...it was a species of pest...a foreign species screwing up the whole ecosystem.

What they did was run an electric current into the water...and the fish were jumping and flying through the air just like that.

You were seeing the invasion of bighead carp, a common species in Asia that has found its way into the Great Lakes. No Electrofishing needed, leaping out of water is a typical behaviour of the bighead carp. Electrofishing doesn't make fish jump, it makes fish turn upside down temporarily.
