Well got to go to a buddys cabin and do some good old fashion buzz bomb jigging for for cod and flounder. Alot different then river fishing. Well the first day the water was calm with little ripples and seing we only had a 12 ft boat this was ideal weather. Fished for 2 hours and managed to land 3 flounder ranging from 13-21 inches. Second day was windy and waves to big so had to stay in. However the 3rd day was something else. We fished from 7 till 9 and got to the boat 2 greenling and 3 rockcod. Also landed a monstor lingcod but due to the regs had to let him go. Decent day for the three of us

Did you keep any of the fish on the 3rd day? If you and your buddy kept more than 1 cod each you probably want to count your blessings and check the regs. I'm not 100% sure, as I haven't read the regs recently for Rockcod since I don't fish for Rockcod or intend to keep any in the Strait of Georgia, but I believe the limit is 1 per day?

It always helps to finish reading the entire paragraph before replying.

well sounds like fun.. those bottom fish can be nice for a change.. one thing I don't get is how you aren't allowed to keep cod.... have you ever seen what happens to those fish after they have been brought to the surface from a 150 feet down??? there eyes explode out of their heads and their tongues are hanging out :o :o
why the heck would you throw that fish back since it is obviously dead!!! or gonna die.. maybe Rod has an idea of what happens
