Title: Beach fishing for Salmon on east coast Vancouver Island
Post by: Fatso on October 12, 2018, 11:53:56 AM
Anybody go recently?

I just got back home today. I didnt see one salmon jump. There were very few sealions and not many birds.  There was nothing happening whatsoever.
It was very unusual.

Anybody else been out that way lately?

An unusually quiet season all along the beaches, was out yesterday, didn't see a fish, it has been dismal so far, can' see it improving for the foreseeable future with 2 weeks of sunshine on slate

I got a report that there are a few showing up.  But honestly, if the seagull and sealion activity is a true indication of the return it is not good.

Maybe they are late???
