Any hunters in the group? Get any draws or planning any trips?
Will be a few years before I get going again.

Looks like only you and me. ;D

Whether fin, fur or feather I'm there. Leaving Friday morn with my son and buddy who were at the clean-up with me, for a moose hunt in 7-08. Spending Thanksgiving in the bush....what more could one want.
Oh yeah, a river full of ho's near by. ;)
I'll see everyone then, hope the Veddar will still have some ho's when I get back, although the smell of salt marsh and snow geese calling will be hard to resist.
btw- here's a couple of good sites for you other hunters...Look for me as Freshtracks.

I hunt with my camera. I'm not slagging you because I hunt fish. I haven't tried it and I'm not sure I could pull the trigger on Bambie. I've shot a couple ducks and have hunted grouse with sling shots, but there is something about the deer spicies that I can't get over. If you are willing to share, I love to eat them ;D
Happy shooting Bantam!

I started hunting with my Dad when I was 10....That was 34 years ago and look forward to going every year. I put in for the L.E.H. for several species every year and have't had a draw since '96...Favorite hunts are for moose south of Vanderhoof and deer in the Tulameen area. I have taken my son who turned 10 in Sept. hunting on weekends for last last couple of years, he shot his first grouse last weekend! ;D

My buddy's real into it. Duck, snowgeese, deer, moose, bear.
I regularly go over to his place for dinner. T-bone moose steak, goose, bear and deer sausage. Mmmmm. :P

I've only had bear in sausage/pepperoni so the spices mask the true taste. It didn't taste too different from other meats.

bear is alot like a strong pork (after all they are related!) as far as guns go my usual for everything is a bolt action Tikka 30-06....my camp gun is a .375 win.....bird gun is a win. 12 gauge pump and grouse gun is a remington bolt .22

I'm going for my first deer hunt coming this November :)
My rifle collection is limited right now, I have a classic Lee Enfield .303 and a 16 guage shotty. I'm looking to get a .22 for a bit of plinking and a .270 and .300Win mag within the next year.
I've been into high powered pellet gun shooting for a while now going around to local farms and taking out the local pigeon population ;D If anyone knows of a place with lots of pigeons i'm there!
