Fishing with shrimp
« on: September 20, 2012, 11:36:23 AM »

Fellas,
When you guys fish with shrimps, do you buy fresh ones and then cook them or what other ways would you recommend? Thanks in advance for those willing to share.  :)

Both ways worked. Buy them raw and cut them into small chunks or buy the cooked cocktail shrimps

Personally I've used all kinds. Cooked shrimp rings, raw prawns, little head on raw shrimp, cured shrimp and prawns, you name it, they all caught fish. My favorite is the tiny shrimp with the head still on, and raw.

Shrimp rings are usually pretty good. Put them in salt to harden them up a bit.

I put the shrimp in a ziplock bag and put a table spoon of fire cure in it and let it sit in the fridge till I am ready to go.

Ive heard Jericho at low tide, but I avoid the city like the plague so can't comment but I've heard from others it is virtually untapped resource.
