Title: NFR - Two new family members!
Post by: Nina on February 07, 2005, 12:30:18 PM
As of last week two new family members were added to my family!  :D

Two small siamese kittens - the blue point is a female and the seal point is a male - 3 months old.

I couldn't help posting these pictures as I am a cat fanatic - I think they are so adorable :-*

And yes I know - the ears are big! They are supposed to be big!  ;)  ;D

Congrats, nice looking cats.

So does anyone else think they resemble the gremlins?    :P

Wow  :o nice hides on those two donours. Siamese hair, expecially the hair from the base of the tail will make sweet flies. Rod is probably looking for a fly tying vise right now. Just clip a little at a time and it will grow right back.

Very nice looking kittens Nina but could I suggest you put these babies on a fattening up program and quick. Skinny as rulers those
two. ;D  Still they are beautiful looking cats and as Dorthy and myself have been owned by a couple persian cats for the last few years we know that they are wonderful to have around. Good for you Nina. ;)

My sister said the same thing when she saw them the first time  ::)
When they grow older the ears will fit the body, or maybe it is the other way around.....

We've had siamese cats my whole life until 2 years ago when our last cat died at an age of 18. It's nice to have cats back in the house again - they really light up the place! Never a dull moment with these two bandits  ;)  ;D

Yeah, they are a bit skinny but I think thats cute  ;D Besides they are gaining weight fast and siamese are supposed to be slender. It's also the short fur which makes them look skinnier. Rodneys cats (Norwegian forest cats) look like raccoons compared to these guys!  :o

Some of us are just plain animal lovers, just have no room for a big golden retriever :(

yeah, he looks very hyper  ;D  ;)
Cute though  :)

The reason I am a cat person I guess is because my mum was a siamese cat breeder and I was attacked by dogs twice when I was a kid. That doesn't really wanna make you cuddle with them..... :-\

Actually it's not so much the dogs I don't like as the owners who can't control them.

6 months old in those pictures and see? They don't look like gremlins anymore and they gained a lot of weight!  ;)  ;D

Seems like all the weights have gone to the stomach and none to the head.

you sure those are cats?  not aliens?  In any case, they look evil.  Lock your door nights.

 ::)  ;)

I can't believe you think they look evil! Siamese cats are known as some of the most social and loyal cats. As soon as you walk in the front door they practically hang on your legs for attention. Some people don't like that but I think that's part of what makes it such an interesting race. I'm gonna quote something from a cat website (http://www.cfainc.org/breeds/profiles/siamese.html):

Their sleek lines, striking color contrast, finely chiseled aristocratic heads, deep blue almond eyes, and short silky coats make them living art. Combine this beauty with acute intelligence, inquisitive personality and a loving nature and you have the essence of the Siamese cat.

This ancient breed, perhaps the oldest of all our cats, is able to communicate like no other. The Siamese voice is legendary. They speak both with their voice and with their body. They are the quintessential “people” cat, for they love to be in your lap, on your bed, at your table--and in your heart!

With emphasis on the voice thing! Just ask Rodney  ;)  ;D

It would be nice to see photos of other peoples pets, so post them here if you have any!  :)

Yeah, Zeena is a very cute cat. She is also very manipulative  ;D  ;)

How come you are neglecting poor Peanut, Rodney?  ;)

Modified:

Ah, there we go. Just because he is not as clever as his sister doesnt mean he shouldn't have his photo posted as well  ;D

We have an orange cat (Nelson) here in Oregon, a classic tabby (Pantera) in Mexico, and our old website used to be hosted by our favorite cat, Bob.  Here is a link to Bob:  http://home.comcast.net/~ramsay52/home2.html

I think Siamese are the least cuddly of the cats.  And they have stick tails.  And you have to admit their faces look a little like these guys:  http://stormloader.com/aliens/
