Sage SP 196B
« on: November 04, 2016, 06:10:49 PM »

Just got a really nice Sage rod for spoons and jigs. Would I be able to use a Centerpin for some light float work or will the blank be totally unusable for this purpose? -anybody tried?
Cheers

Is there a difference with the guide spacing and also guide size/type with a CP versus spinning tied blank? Obviously the reel fitting is higher but is that it?

In most cases spinning guides are larger and often single foot.  Are you the fellow that phoned me regarding this rod?

Spent many a day of my childhood trying to catch barbel on the Avon. Never did - good memories tho!
