Now that's a true definition of a gong show! :o
-
No offence, but the people live there are poorer than the fish.
I think that they do the gong show for living. :'(
We are so lucky to live here and fish for fun.
-
I would say poor people, they are lucky to find fish to eat

Has anybody else seen that film, "Darwin's Revenge"? Quite interesting.
Here's some info about it - http://jam.canoe.ca/Movies/Reviews/D/Darwins_Nightmare/2005/05/20/1047994.html

wow, your right we are lucky to have the extensive fisheries here in BC compared to the rest of the world -

Gold crock ,,,,,do you fish steelhead withe spoon ?????
-
Steelhead, yes you can fish Steelies with the spoon. Silver or Gold none hammered Colorados in size 2 or 3 under the float have been working best for me... roe has also been working well tied in sacs about the size of a nickel to a quarter....

It is local tradition held one day a year with great prizes for the biggest fish. and they are only allowed to fish that part of the river.
I remember seeing a show about it, but did you see the size of the cat fish they pull out of the mud.
Every body looks like they are having a good time and i don't think they get into any scalebar knife fights.

Really good flick. Shows Europes gluttony for Nile perch and what it does to poor nations that cant even control local famines with the fish they catch.
Those guys in the pictures with whole fish, those are the lucky guys. Everyone usually gets only carcasses.
