When i first moved to B.C. from Ont. spent 5 yrs in the Kootenay's.  Learned to fly fish, tie my own flies.  It became an addiction.  Wish there were more free fliowing streams like this in the lower mainland.  I sure miss it.

Very addicting indeed, and a really relaxing place to be. You really need at least 5 full days of fishing around that area to get a taste of what it offers.

Try it with a Tenkara rod........now that is an addiction, that's all I have been using for trout for the past 4yrs ;D

Great video guys!  Nice editing work Rod.  When were you there?  I was there first week in Aug.  Man I love that fishery.  With my fishing time becoming more and more limited due to work schedules and family, a week there keeps me going for a long time.  As a side note, we always wear quick dry tech pants from MEC.  That way your bush walks and bugs are no prob and they dry off really fast in 30 degree temps.

Nice video Rodney. The cinematography keeps getting better and better. Undecided about the documentary story telling of the video though. Overall, it was good - but too much/long and seemed to take away from what was apparently very good fishing. Really like the colour of those cutthroats.

Thanks. This is always work in progress, and I'm constantly playing around with the style of presentations and will be bouncing between them while having fun doing so.

We were there from Aug 5 to 10. The first couple of days we had waders on because it was pretty buggy. This was a last minute trip so we pretty much showed up unprepared. Quick dry tech pants for sure next time!

This was great! Kitty sure has grown both as a knowledgeable angler and storyteller in her screen presence. Man I would love your guys' jobs! It's been awesome to see your progression, thanks!

Thanks. :) We've enjoyed watching the progress too, it'll be exciting to see where this leads to in the next few years. :)

Rodney.

Forgot to ask when I made my previous post about this video. Your videos have a certain warmth/softness/colour to them. Is this a camera filter or done in post production or both?

I do very little colour grading in post production actually, trying to keep it as natural as possible. Most of it is from the camera settings. There is a neutral density filter on it which does not change the warmth of the picture (that's the white balance), but it allows me to darken the lens so I can increase the aperture so the subject remains sharp while the background is blurry to create the cinematic feel.
