Neoprene waders - what do you wear underneath ?

So I got my first pair of chest waders to go with my new Fish Cat 4. Dumb question.... besides the Jockeys (or Zellers-Hanes if you are married like me!) what does one wear before pulling on the neoprenes ?? Thermals ? regular pants ? jeans ? Nothing ?  ???

Good question, as comfort is important. I personally like to have a pair of MEC fleece pants underneath during winter. They can be a bit too thick if the weather is warm. In May, June, September, I just wear a pair of shorts underneath. In July and August, we stop using neoprenes now.... Did that a couple of times few years back, what a nightmare.... :o

Thin track pants or gym pants. Whatever you wear you gotta tuck the bottoms into your socks so your pant legs don't ride up when you put your waders on. The long pants keep your skin off the neoprene and greatly reduce the chance for sweating. Personally I stopped wearing neoprene and just use my breathables all year long.

I think Rodney was on the right track first - but I'll add to it. Nothing underneath but a liberal shot of baby powder. ;)  Just imagine - out there in the heat of August turning all that baby powder into man-gravey. :-X

I wear a pair of trunks.  I tend to generate heat, so I don't need a lot of extra help.

Hey Rieber I just got home with some KFC chicken and french fries but damn, I forgot to pick up some gravey for the fries. Do you think you could, you know, loan me some of that man-gravey you have,  I'd really appreciate it. Thanks Bro, :D.

Oh gross! You actually eat KFC??!! ;D Nina gets a KFC craving once a year and goes to buy a chicken wrap. After one wrap, she's repelled from KFC for twelve months until the next craving.
