I don't own one but I'm sure it's a good quality reel cuz it's made by abu however, I don't really like the look of it.

I'm going off topic here for a second but the abu garcia d5 is a really nice real, I just got one a couple of months ago.  It's the newest series out there right now.

My buddy has one and he likes it as a Vedder class water reel - he's taken numerous Steelhead with it one 19-2# monster last year. Nice and smooth. I've never seen him birdsnest that reel come to think of it.

The quality of Ambassador reels have gone downhill in recent years. I have a couple of the 6500C and they are good reels. Now I prefer Shimano.

Sounds like you're looking at a good deal - don't hesitate, grab it. I always carry a spare reel in my vest. When you fish with brush around you, the chance of hooking a twig when you cast and birdsnesting are really good. I don't waste time out there I just swap reels and fix the mess at home.
