Hi Guys:  When referring to the Tide Tables do I add 5hrs from Pt. Atkinson for the Vedder.  Can't remember.  Thanks

I usually add around 4-5 hours from the New West station using this link: http://www.waterlevels.gc.ca/eng/find/zone/10

Could you explain the impact of the tide?  Does 4-5 hours after a high tide coincide with a tendency for fresh fish to push into the river, subject to other factors of course?

That is the idea, it raises the water level which tends to bring fish into the system. It is also good to know if you are walking and wading the lower river so you don't get trapped somewhere because of the high tide.
