No rush as almost half way to the amount needed, in only 2 weeks since the start of the program

Good to hear that they are finding them for the hatchery considering the slow year, I thought it might be an issue after the start we had

A note received today, a dismal contribution from me, :'(

"We have met the target of steelhead brood for the Chilliwack River.  This past week was great for brood capture as we met our goal of  35 bucks.

Thank you all very much for your commitment to our steelhead program."

funny you say that, when i was last at the hatchery  i was talking to the guy feeding the coho and he was telling me they weren't feeding the steelhead smolts because they were getting too big... i dont see why they wouldn't want them to get as big and strong as possible before release.. :o

its all based upon funding. I visited the hatchery in the fall and they were mentioning that steelhead from 2 years past and this last year were released 10 grams under weight. This march has been just awesome steelheading but I have not seen so many 4-5 lb steelhead caught all hatchery.
