don't mean to hijack the thread but my question is related... In regards to Lightning Lk. - Are there area's to park and launch you boat or tube ,just for the day ? And would you even go out in a tube on that lake ?
-
theres a parking lot but you have to pay like 5 bucks for the day you can easily lauch a row boat there and a tube i was up there for a week and i went out in my tube everyday the olny thing is there is no motors aloud

ok Thanks , i am goin up there for a camping/fishing trip on Aug.15 but lightning lk. is booked solid . So i am staying at Cold creek and then i will just drive to the day area at lightning lake , or i may hike to the lake .

if you wanna hike a lake go to flash lake i hear the fishing is better because most people dont bother to trek thier stuff over thier, i booked in advance ;D
