Another 2 points for the Canucks. I see even A-BOATER has switched allegiance.......again ;D
Hey I'm 61 yrs old & watched Hockey Night in Canada on tv every Sat night before the Canucks were in the NHL. Went to many Western hockey games & seen the likes of George Gardner in the nets,Ted Taylor, & many others.. Connie Manigan of the Portland team was the big bad bully & looked the part.
Thus in early days cheered for the Toronto a Maple Leafs.
Of course I will cheer on every Canadian team but when it comes down to it will cheer on the team where I live. That means the Vancouver Canucks are my favourite.
But they will get my praise when they play with effort & creativity but when they skate like zombies like any fan we will let them know we are not too happy.
( maybe the travel tires out the team. )
Eastern teams travel 15-45 minutes & are at the opposing teams site.
Canucks travel 2-3-4-5 hrs.
Go Canucks Go !

Remember thinking the a Western Hockey League Canucks should of kept the team they had on their roster & when they went into their 1 st yr. in the NHL.
Yes M Hall could skate down the wing & take that hard slap shot.
Other favourite Andy Bathgate.
John Arbour was a hard nose D man.
Brad Selwood played smart even played with the leafs.
Jim Robson was their play by play & continued in the NHL.
Tony Esposito played with Western HL Canucks before he went on to the NHL Blackhawks.
Johnny Bower Leaf great stopper had a short playing time with the Canucks.
Also we had Doak who went on to play with the Bruins. (70s) not a rough guy or big but he got the puck k moved the puck up ice via short passing.
Another NHL Canuck forward  went on to play with Boston  (70s)
Great slap shot & short fuse.( forward ) name???

Connor McDavid single handedly defeat the Leafs 5-2. McDavid had 2 goals and 3 assists. Back to the chalk board Chris.  :D

The losing Leafs finish their Canadian mini series in Vancouver tomorrow against the surging Canucks.
I believe the Fable dumps got the better the first try this season.
Any guesses FA? Chris? A-B?
I'm guessing 3-2 Nucks in regulation.

Canucks win. If the Canucks feel benevolent tomorrow night they might allow the Composts to score a couple of goals. (just to make them feel good) on their trip back home. :)

Sutter & Edler (sp?) out for 6-8wks. for the Canucks. Important guys to not have on the ice.
Sutter gets broken jaw. 2 major set backs for him this season.
What next?
Chris will give advice for 1st period.
If it does not work ...he'll offer smoked salmon if Leafs score...
If those do not work out have not a clue what he 'll do next?
Maybe get out his whip...
Honestly Canucks will win because they are on a roll & have not peaked as yet.
After 3-4 straight wins they may get fat heads & get lazy again.
Canucks 5 Leafs 3 prediction.
2nd prediction if Chris advice works:
Leafs 5 Canucks 3.

FA yep your spot on Bobby Schmautz. Remember Doug Halward. He came from Boston & came to the Canucks & was a very very good player day in & day out.

The season has been made tonight, the Canucks should have dressed the 5 players they introduced before the game. Complete domination by us. A tough night to be a Vancouver supporter. Off to the dressing room for the celebration. ;D ;D ;D

LOL!!!  make the best of this Chris :D
Actually your team did my team a favor as now management knows it's time to sell off some players for future prospects.  Like the Laughs, the Nuks are done for this season :-[
